Terms & Conditions

By registering for or participating in this event/webinar, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not register or participate in the event/webinar.

  1. Event Cancellation by Moonstone
    • Moonstone reserves the right to cancel an event.
    • If Moonstone cancels an event, registrants will be provided with at least 24-hour notice of such cancellation and offered a full refund.
    • Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, Moonstone reserves the right to, in its full discretion, either issue a full refund or transfer registration of the same event to the new, future date.
  2. Registration Cancellation by Participant
    • If applicable, payment for the event must be made in full at the time of registration.
    • Unless specifically stated in registration communications, all cancellation requests must be made by the Participant (registrant/s) and received in writing by Moonstone.
    • The deadline to receive a refund for your registration is 7 (seven) business days prior to the event. All cancellations carries a 10% (ten percent) administration fee due and payable by the Participant/s (registrant/s) to Moonstone.
    • Cancellations received by Moonstone after the deadline stated above will not be eligible for a refund.
    • Where a Participant/s (registrant/s) is/are no show / non-attendance on the day of the event, refunds will not be made for registrants that are unable to attend an event.
    • All refund requests must be made by the Participant (registrant/s) or credit card holder.
    • Written refund requests must include the:
      • Name of the Participant/s (registrant/s); and/or
      • Invoice number; and
      • Proof of banking details.
  • All eligible refunds will be actioned within 14 (fourteen) business days after receiving the refund request.
  1. Important when attending CPD events
    • Participants attending an event accredited for CPD purposes and who wish to claim the hours allocated to the event must be present for the full duration of the event. No apportioning of hours will be undertaken.
    • Moonstone reserves the right to require participants to sign in and out of events, and/or to provide confirmation of continued attendance through other activities when attending an online event.
    • In order for Moonstone to confirm attendance to the accrediting recognised body, Moonstone must be in a position to verify the identity of the participant. Verification of identity can only be performed by the presentation of a valid ID document, passport or driving licence by the participant.
    • Only duly registered participants will be eligible for CPD hours. Participants may not substitute themselves with other persons, unless agreed to in writing by Moonstone, which agreement must take place at least 72 (seventy-two) hours prior to the event.
    • Proof of attendance will only be provided post-event and on completion of all necessary verification procedures by Moonstone, which may take up to 15 (fifteen) business days.
  2. Specific arrangements relating to Webinars
    • Participants must be of legal age and possess the legal capacity to enter into these Terms and Conditions.
    • All information provided during registration must be accurate and complete.
    • All participants will receive a confirmation email containing information related to joining and participating in the webinar (event) prior to the event.
    • All webinars (events) will be recorded unless explicitly indicated otherwise. By participating, you consent to the recording and authorise the use of your image, voice and participation in any media by Moonstone, if applicable.
    • If the participant was duly registered for the webinar but could not access it on the day of the webinar, or the participant was unable to attend the full webinar due to technical or internet connectivity difficulties, the participant will be afforded the opportunity to still be eligible for CPD hours by requesting a link to a recording of the webinar where after the participant will be required to complete and submit a subsequent assessment on the content discussed in the webinar.
    • The link and assessment must be requested from events@moonstonecompliance.co.za within 3 (three) business days after the webinar. Kindly include the participant’s full name, ID Number, order number and reason for non-attendance in the email.
    • If the participant does not view the recording, and complete and submit the assessment within 7 (seven) business days, unless communicated otherwise, after receipt of the link to the recording, the participant will not be able to claim any CPD hours associated with the webinar.
    • Participants are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary hardware, software, and internet connection to access the event. Moonstone is not responsible for any technical issues that may prevent access to or participation in the event.
  3. Rules and prohibitions
    • Participants are prohibited from:
      • Making use of inappropriate, unprofessional language;
      • Conducting any disruptive behaviour during the event;
      • Making defamatory or inappropriate remarks about the presenters, panellists, Moonstone and its employees, and/or other attendees;
      • Misrepresenting themselves to be Moonstone employees or affiliates;
      • Making efforts to solicit products and/or services to other attendees; and
      • Further distributing Moonstone’s intellectual property (including but not limited to copyright items) and proprietary information without Moonstone’s written consent;
    • Moonstone reserves the right to, in its sole discretion:
      • Remove a Participant who contravened the above from the event without a refund; and/or
      • Prohibit a Participant who contravened the above from registering and attending any future events hosted by Moonstone.
  4. Privacy
    • Personal information collected during registration will be used solely for the purpose of administering the event and will not be shared with third parties without the Participant’s consent, except as required by law.
  5. Limitation of liability
    • Moonstone does not guarantee any specific results from the event. The content is provided for informational purposes only, and Participants should not rely solely on it for decision-making.
    • Moonstone is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the event, or the use of the content provided.
  6. Rights
    • The content provided during the event (webinar), including but not limited to presentations, slides, and other materials, is the intellectual property of Moonstone and/or other presenters. Unauthorised use, reproduction, or distribution of any content is strictly prohibited.
